Hotmix deliver another two-track slaying from an aliased ambassador of the label itself, this time the first edition in the new 'Obscure Bad Dreams' series. An homage to Sauro Cosimetti (the Italian house and techno mastermind whose credits include releases on Frequenza, Natura Viva and Beatfreak), six acolytes of the artist bring six, discoic house hosing-downs to the table. Most exciting among the selections are the lively African trad chanter 'The Beginning', the dreamy soulful house 'Inflight' by Rohan Delano, and Montano Orchestra's freestyle-inspired dub-electro-disco 'Tribal Love Beats' version of their own 'Esto Parese Amor'.

Since 2018, Less J’s been laying it down on local labels and pushing his own imprint, Law Heart Records. Bricklayer by day, bedroom producer by night, Less J builds grooves the same way he builds walls — with patience, grit and a touch of soul. Some call him Adria`, others Lessito — but around here he’s simply L’Hospitalet’s own Moodymann. A nickname not given lightly, earned release after release through effort and persistence. Rather than a weight to carry, it’s fuel — a reason to push harder, sharpen the sound and prove it every time. This EP oozes truth. Three solid cuts, slow-cooked and straight to the point, topped off with a Mistanomista remix for dessert. No garnish, no tricks — just real music, meant to be listened to properly.

A truly essential piece of early Detroit Techno history here, Octave One's original white label Octivation EP from 1990 has long been a sought after and coveted slab of wax. This 5 track journey charts the Burden brothers mood from sinister, spacey, acidic Techno jams (Sonic Fusion) to deeper, more melancholic mid-tempo cuts (Nicolette) and along the way manages to usher in a new wave of Detroit Techno sounds. Steeped in soul and depth Octivation was hinting towards the epic style Octave One would shape with their various projects in the following decades and releases. The earliest glimpse (Their 1st release) into a long and fruitful career that is still continuing today. This EP was a game changer and it's influence can still be felt in contemporary House and Techno right now. Now, finally made available again to be re-discovered and experienced. Re-mastered, re-pressed and re-issued with all the original 430 West white label and sticker artwork intact, in conjunction with the Burden brothers / 430 West Records.

As the OG mix ends, the reshape kicks in… XDB strips the original down to build up the perfect Tech/Minimal companion for the AM hours! The B side comes out swinging with ‘Industry’ in a Dub Techno sound to stoke the movement on the floor.
