The 1980 space disco hit you probably never heard of. Now officially remastered including new stunning edits by Peaking Lights and Korkut Elbay. Picture sleeve with an outstanding painting by Antonia Freisburger. 'Inside' with loads of synths and some vocoder on top is a wild jam that is propelling more and more into a frenzy during its course. Following the orginal is a dancefloor-edit by Korkut Elbay which puts the vocal part into focus. Korkut Elbay, part of the Cómeme camp and an integral part of Cologne's electronic music scene for over 20 years, crafted an edit in its purest form. On the flipside Aaron Coyes of the California-based duo Peaking Lights stretches out the original and reaches higher grounds with his stomping rework. He gently adds some more keys and puts you into a trance with his soothing melodies. Now dance! But what's the story behind this unearthed gem stone? In the late 1970s a marketing company owner faced an increasing competitve market and wanted to work indepently from the professional studios which were charging high rates for commercials back then. The solution was to build his own sound studio. So he set one up in the basement of his company in Saarbrücken, Germany. He hired a studio operator and a composer that got quite a reputation in the local scence back then and besides daily job routines 'Inside' was created.

Foundational reggae artist Dennis Walks' 'Waste Time in Babylon' has long been a much sought-after track and it is now the latest 1980s digital gem to be reissued on 45 as part of the 333 series. The tune was originally produced by Prince Jazzbo for his Ujama label in 1987 and finds Walks, who first gained recognition in the early 1970s working with producers Harry Mudie and Joe Gibbs, delivering his trademark powerful vocals over the iconic 'Racecourse Rock' rhythm. The track also features legendary keyboardist Winston Wright in fine form which helps to make this reissue a must-have for fans of classic reggae and digital-era fusions.

Death Is Not The End's wonderful 333 series continues here with another standout digi roots 7? from late 90s New York star Gumbae Culture, who it is said was a favourite of Jah Shaka. 'Take It Easy' was produced by Ricky "Mad Man" Myrie, a key figure in reggae/dancehall production since the early 90s and someone now just as known for working with Sean Paul and Capleton. Gumbae Culture's sharp vocals lead the way on a deep, dubby, cavernous track that was recorded at Philip Smart's iconic HC&F Studio with engineering by Michel McDonald. Haunting xylophone, sharp snares, and deep subs drive it onward and if you like it more stripped back then flip it over and dive into the version.

Nuron's new 'DAT Tapes' volume makes you want to shake DAT arse! Continuing his journey on De:tuned with yet another selection of exhumed DAT tape saves from old forgotten and attic-bound "vaults" - well, apparently, though these tracks sound decidedly modern, such to the degree that we'd be totally blown away if it was truly the case that these were made in the 90s - the producer also known as Nurmat Jusat deploys four fulsome measurers in the vein of classic bleep techno and pythagorean electro. This one's best features are its zapping yet mega-harmonic chords, best heard on the harmonic breakdown heard on the bustling furore that is 'Jungle Frenzy'.

Formed by LA-based drummer Tommaso Cappellato in conjunction with pianist Alberto Lincetto and bassist Nicolò Masetto, the group is known for their experimental blend of eclectic jazz, funk, downtempo beats, and vintage Italian library music. On this release, they are showcasing their foray into Italian vocals. The A-side "Luce" is a vibrant track that combines 80s jazz funk elements with a touch of boogie in an extended multi-rhythmic version that keeps the energy grooving. Flipping to the B-side, "Luna Gioia" offers a modern interpretation of downtempo Brazilian-funk and slow disco, accompanied by an instrumental version that allows the music to shine on its own.

Neapolitan Daniel Monaco returns on the Rush Hour Store Jams imprint with another disco heavy two tracker, with vocals from TK daMonza. Two feel good songs, to calm and comfort your soul... 

“Django” and “Japanese Funk Machine” are 2 mid80s outstanding avant-garde dance tracks released by UnknownmiX, a Swiss avant-experimental group with unique vocal, punkish/art-pop/minimal wave atmosphere, solid synth and percussions in an anarchic world.

At the center of the project were the very talented vocalist Magda Vogel and the well-known experimental composer Ernst Thoma, who with this radical project sought to push boundaries and explore extremes with sounds that moved between tribal and distorted far ahead of their time.

The remixes were made by cosmic wizard Daniele Baldelli, assisted by the faithful Marco Dionigi, and Delphi (half of Tiger & Woods)

Those with long memories might remember Sex Tags UFO chief DJ Fett Burger's 2012 double A-side collaboration with the mysterious DJ Grillo Weiner, 'Disco Tre'/'Disco Fire' - a deliciously percussive and wayward workout built around choice disco loops and heavy, wayward percussion. 12 years on, the Norwegian pair are back for round two. Fett Burger goes solo on A-side 'Disco Fem', a typically stretched-out fusion of drum machine kicks, densely layered percussion and killer samples from a vintage disco record. It's a genuinely extra, extra-large affair and very, very good. Turn to the flip for 'Disco Sex', a slamming, techno-tempo collaboration that pairs thumping beats and low-slung dub disco bass with mind-mangling synth loops and ambient chords. Like the A-side, it's simply colossal - albeit in a typically eccentric, off-kilter way.

Released via Underground Resistance in 1993, Black Moon Rising by Scan-7, helmed by Trackmaster Lou and featuring The Elohim, remains a quintessential Detroit techno classic. This electrified motor city soul and funk masterpiece is now reissued for the first time in 31 years, maintaining its power to ignite dancefloors and alter minds. The title track, 'Black Moon Rising,' achieves a perfect balance with its crisp Detroit techno sounds tempered by melancholic synths and melodies, creating an uplifting effect amidst the edgier releases of its time. The lo-fi production adds to its unique charm, making it a standout. 'Pathway Through Time' and 'Introducing Scan-7' continue to push boundaries with their innovative sounds. 'System Work' stands out with its quirky, driving melody and out-of-phase vocals, propelling the track forward with relentless energy. Black Moon Rising embodies the essence of techno, with synth stabs, acid leads and a robust bassline, making it a timeless release that remains influential in the techno scene.
