Moroccan production wizard Kosh returns to Casa Voyager for a rather impressive new four-tracker, 'Get It Done', which does exactly that and then some. Straddling as many genres as to remain somewhat unpigeonholeable, we launch into the full-bodied breaksy dubstep opener that is 'Hurry Up' before landing on 4x4 rave turf with 'Break It Until You Make It'; both tracks are liberal with their sample choppage and fidgets. The titular B-sider introduces an infectious chord swing and spit-snare, while the closing 'Despair' lets us in on the darker side of Kosh's inner world, as we careen through the acid-pad-filled veins of the beast.

Italian producer Jacopo Latini dropped a classy slice of techy trance on Berlin label Mood Waves last year, marking his debut proper and heralding a new talent in the thriving modern trance scene. Now he's following up on the promise of that release with this EP for Altered Circuits, which leads in with the sublime restraint of 'Motherboard', an elegant and mysterious take on the genre. 'High Voltage' pivots on a warm, analogue-sounding bassline and straight-up tech house drums, but there's space for some blissfully harmonious arps which give that trance feeling in an instant. 'It Comes In The Morning' has a slightly techier demeanour to its synth lines, and 'Dual Effect' takes things more introspective, but at all times the emotional content is the driving force behind these outstanding club tracks.

Not in fact the work of a studio duo, Promising/Youngster is in fact the chosen name of electro investigator Diego Cadierno. Cadierno has found a supportive home in Analogical Force, who he returns to with this finally constructed EP of needlepoint machine funk spread across four tracks. There's an electronica slant to his music, not least on the likes of 'Frozen' with its fragile melodic threads and crispy, introspective beats. But 'Amen' and 'Highway' also feature plenty of slap to get a dancefloor moving, if that's what you require from your fresh electro grabs.

Your favourite lez-loonatics Roza & D. Tiff are back at it with the 'Tapestry Of Sound' Reloaded - revamped and ready to rock your local dancefloor. With three freaky sleek OG cuts from the dynamic duo, and a deliciously danceable remix from the progressive prince Olsvanger, you'd be a stupid boy to miss out on this one. Expect all the classique Step Ball Chain-isms & more; tongue-in-cheek techno; percussive paradise; and bass heavy bombs, with a few naughty noughties references for the 'true heads'.

Whoever is behind these STEDIT drops is striking upon pure gold, bringing a legitimately underground techno crunch to the pop edit practice. Having previously tackled the likes of Brandy & Monica and Ultra Nate, now two of the biggest pop divas of all time are getting some low down and dirty reworkings which tread the fine balance between earworm familiarity and the heads down moodiness of a locked-in dancefloor. 'Slow' becomes a slippery acid abstraction peppered with all kinds of sonic freakery, while 'Justify My Love' becomes a brooding, steadfast workout tipped towards the minimal crowd.

Inner Lakes makes his Art Of Dark debut with '2 0 2 3', a slowed-down contemplation of the now nearly bygone year. On the intersection of UK bleep and house, the titular '2023' hears whispery vocals speaking of interdimensional travel, which weaves between dark reeses and ascending arps; this theme continues on the following B-sider, 'Amnesia', which speaks of the amnestic side-effects of accelerating through such sonic time and space. The EP rounds off with 'Dis C Onnecte D', a sinister and robotic number for disjointed vocals and twinging FMs.

Kalahari Oyster Cult releases music as wonderfully unique as the label's own name. This one is pounding techno from Maara with a distinctly equine theme - and not just in the title and artwork. The opener has neighing horse sounds bursting out of the mix at various points as the high speed drums canter along with a warm, rich, deep but captivating sense of pace. 'Juicy Tracksuit' keeps up the quickness with buffed metal kick bouncing beneath psychoactive chords and slurred vocals. There is more pent up and kinetic energy with 'God Save The Bender'. 'Sheela Na Gig' - absolutely no relation to the famous PJ Harvey track of the same name - is a final uptempo, steamy and sweaty techno throbber.

Anastasia Kristensen now sits at the top table of the global techno sine. She emerged on a whirlwind a few years ago and has solidified her reputation with electrifying sets that traverse the bass, acid, IDM, rave and techno spectrum with style and captivating energy. Now she once again shows off her production chops with this new EP on her own new label absorb emit. It is the inaugural outing and sets out the sonic stall superbly - 'Cordyceps Disco' is frosty and thumping techno, 'Practice Of Menace' has a more minimal design but no lesser impact, 'Irregularity' rides on busted rhythms with well-swung hits and 'All At Once' is a nice 5am wig out for the late night hours and headier moments. A fine debut.

DJ Balduin is back with a new long player some five years after his last. This one comes on Kann Records and is another tasteful trip into the depths of electronic music with trip hop, breakbeat, ambient, tech house and techno all colouring the grooves. Importantly it is steeped in emotion with each of the well crafted sounds hitting a perfect sweet spot. Core to this is the artist's ability to craft perfect loops that can roll for days and never grate. "He doesn't like to think in categories," says the press text. "By reinterpreting genre-specific elements, discovering unheard soundscapes and with a good portion of nostalgia, he sculpts little stories that vibe on dance floors and in living rooms alike." Amen to that.

Sevensol, Map.ache and Bender's new Leipzig-based venture Long Vehicle presents its inaugural release here entitled "LV 1X". Featured are Harry Wills (Osman/Entity London) who serves up some groovy analogue minimal funk on his contribution "Sloshed", while A2 comes from local up and comer Tim Schlockermann (aka U.S. Coin Map) who gives us the utterly infectious "Locked" which you won't be able to get out of your head. On the flip, Mbius of Ethernal fame serves up more of his distinct blend of mesmerising deep house on standout track "Helge Nuch". Good first impressions of the label - tip!
