Colombian electro maestro Samuel Jabba makes his swift return to DJ Masda and So Inagawa's amazing Cabaret Recordings after releasing his 'Hidden Dreams EP' last September. For Cabaret's 42nd release, Jabba release 'Trance Mutation' - a four-tracker full of trance-welded electro that leads the listener through various plains, similar to that of Dante's Divine Comedy. 'Evil Descent' begins the journey into the belly of the beast as eerie bells scale amongst call and response synth sections, before a voice stating "fear is the mind killer" summons the brain tickling drop. 'Intense Friction' continues our descent through the circles of the underworld, as psychedelic synths discretely whir before long, stretched out acid synth lines swallow you whole into a magma ocean of deep bass and heavy kick drums. On the B-side, 'Ultimate Trip' brings us up and out of the the underworld into a techno Paradiso, as kaleidoscopic synths roll over electro squelches and foot to the floor drums, before 'Reflections' indoctrinates the listener into a trance through gurgled vocals and an ear worm of a lead, leaving you in a pensive state of bliss.
