Legendary Italian producer Gianni Bini makes his debut on Groove Culture with 'The House Of Glass' LP, a vibrant disco-house record that takes listeners back to the genre's roots. With over a thousand production credits under various aliases like Bini & Martini and Fathers Of Sound, Gianni has long been a defining force in disco-house. Now, he delivers a fresh project packed with live instrumentationidrums, bass, guitars, stringsiand infectious vocals that evoke the energy of classic discotheques. Side-1 opens with 'Dancing & Grooving' featuring Alfreda Gerald in a high-energy disco anthem. The Dave Lee edit shines with vibrant horns and an unstoppable groove. 'Ain't Nothing Going On', featuring Anduze and remixed by Micky More & Andy Tee, brings lush strings and an irresistible guitar riff, perfect for an all-night dance session. On Side-2, 'Friday Night', with MO's epic vocals and smooth delivery, is another Micky More & Andy Tee remix that exudes timeless disco elegance. 'Lately', featuring Karmina Dai and remixed by Emmaculate, wraps up the album with a soulful disco blend that feels tailor-made for late-night revelry. The in-form Stefan Ringer return with a new EP which us designed for "dancing in the dark." It comes on FWM Entertainment on a nice hand-stamped 12" that opens up with 'Hypnosis' which is stepped in sublime chords and detailed with Ringer's own vocals. 'Echo Chamber' is a more immediate rhythm with an atonal melody and loopy bass then 'Nasty' explores a fresh take on the classic Chicago jack style with hefty drums and stabbed synths that amp up the party. the varied vibes continue with 'Slanted House' which takes the energy out and allow you to relax in the refined chords and closer 'Sweet Chariot' is a smooth end to a terrific EP.

Some labels deal only in pristine soul legitness - and Celestial Echo are one such set of aesthetes. A reissues label, Celestial Echo focuses on modern soul and boogie, and is curated by Miche (Michael Davies) and Stu Clark. Following three impressively chosen sonic chrisms, all reissued in 2024 - releases by Glenda McLeod, Brutal Force and Winfield Parker - comes this fourth foray into one of the best-loved and perhaps only publicly known tunes by the obscure boogie singer Lisa Hill: 'I Am On The Real Side'. New York's Qit Records were the original purveyors of this track, though its initial obscurity is so baffling to us that we'd guess some case of derelict nobility was at play here; either that, or there was just this much amazing soul music being made in the big city at the time! Here, Hill proclaims her place on the right side of love, with a lyrical emphasis on the object of her passions proving themself to her before she submits.

Two years ago, the rebooted Vibraphone Records imprint reissued Minimal Vision's sought-after, self-titled 1992 debut. If anything, the Italian outfit's six-track 1993 follow-up - imaginatively titled 'Minimal Vision II' - is even more highly valued by deep house diggers and record collectors. This remastered reissue is, then, long overdue. It remains a fantastic mini-album, with highlights including the chunky, early progressive house-influenced hypnotism of 'Sea Bird', the acid-flecked futurism of 'Vertigo', the tribal-tinged early morning moodiness of 'C119' and the tough Roman techno of 'Repetition'. Best of all, though, is the deep house-goes-tribal headiness of bleep-sporting closing cut 'Ritual'. Simply essential.

Hotmix deliver another two-track slaying from an aliased ambassador of the label itself, this time the first edition in the new 'Obscure Bad Dreams' series. An homage to Sauro Cosimetti (the Italian house and techno mastermind whose credits include releases on Frequenza, Natura Viva and Beatfreak), six acolytes of the artist bring six, discoic house hosing-downs to the table. Most exciting among the selections are the lively African trad chanter 'The Beginning', the dreamy soulful house 'Inflight' by Rohan Delano, and Montano Orchestra's freestyle-inspired dub-electro-disco 'Tribal Love Beats' version of their own 'Esto Parese Amor'.

Made in 1984 but unfairly left to fester, unreleased, by way of the sheer amorality of the '80s music market, we sure hope this release of Yasuaki Shimizu's 'Kiren' finally gives this body of work the recognition it deserves. Following up his albums 'Kakashi' and 'Utakata No Hibi', this is the composer's one-off foray into experimental dance music, further showing off his work with fellow jazzers the Saxophonettes. From the cold, juddering ambience of 'Momo No Hana' to the post-punky sample dance of 'Peruvian Punk', this one's a rare and odd tidbit for the eclectic digger.

Total Blue is a Los Angeles-based trio consisting of Nicky Benedek, Alex Talan, and Anthony Calonico who are new to the Music From Memory label. While the three have collaborated for over a decade, this self-titled album marks a new chapter in their artistic journey as a trio. Fuelled by a sense of play and exploration, it embodies their quest to "touch the beyond" and capture an elusive vibe they've long pursued. They see the work as a complete vision where reality and imagination merge-not through escapism, but by expanding perspectives as they blend digital synths, Akai EVI wind synthesiser, fretless bass, and guitars to create a lush soundscape that's as vast as it is expansive.

Mona Lee aka Lissa Callens and WPH label man Red D go a long way back. Red D always knew it was a matter of time before Mona Lee would come up with some music he could not refuse. A gig together and the first notes of ‘The Reason’ and that was that. Classic house that would make Kerri Chandler proud is the order of the title track. A bright piano melody, a good vocal hook and rough and ready beats in a crisp production that will shake up any dancefloor. Red D himself delivers a dub that focuses on the hooks and makes them shine even more on top of a killer funky bass line. For good U.S. house measure Atlanta’s finest Stefan Ringer steps up to deliver his trademark dusty twist on things. As a bonus you get ‘Spaces & Places’, a delicate organic deep house beauty with Mona Lee scatting ever so subtly to make you go out of your home and out of your head.

MÚSICA PARA BOLICHE takes us to Argentina. Along the journey, we will discover that Maradona is not the only thing we have in common with our cousins across the ocean. Let’s dive into the 1980s Buenos Aires scene, a time straddling dictatorship and disco music, in search of dusty gems forgot-ten even in their homeland. The EP contains four tracks spanning Italo, electro, and proto-house, carefully selected by Jack Bulgaro, restored, and edited by DJs from Italy and Argentina.
