Sara Mautone nasce come fotografa e coltiva la sua passione per la musica da sempre. Dal 2018 le sue session in radio esplorano la world e baleraric music. Partendo da Radio Raheem arriva a Rinse France e NTS. Collezionista appassionata di vinili si è specializzata nella ricerca di produzioni Brasiliane e Giapponesi degli anni ’70 e ’80. Parallelamente alla suo percorso in radio la si può trovare ai piatti di club e listening bar italiani e europei.

    American jazz drummer and bandleader Born: 10 January 1924 in Newland, Pasquotank County, North Carolina, USA Died: 16 August 2007 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA (aged 83) Married to singer Abbey Lincoln. Father of Raoul Roach and viola player Maxine Roach. Roach was one of the most accomplished jazz drummers and percussionists of his time. He worked with many of the greatest jazz musicians, including Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus and Sonny Rollins.

    Brandi sang with Fat Larry's Band, Breeze, and Slick before starting a solo career. Her debut album, "Watch Out", appeared in 1981 on Fantasy Records and reached #37 on the US Billboard R&B chart. The title track also peaked at #74 in the UK Singles Chart in February 1982. "Watch Out" proved to be her only hit, although she released a follow-up LP in 1985. Brandi sadly passed away from breast cancer in her native Chester, Pennsylvania in March 2003, aged 47 years.

    "Bésame Mucho" is a globally famous song originally written by Mexican composer Consuelo Velázquez in 1940. Carina Mendez is an artist who released a cover of the song, among many others. Carina Mendez's version of "Besame Mucho" was released as a single/vinyl in Italy in 1994, sometimes titled "Bexame / Besame Mucho". Her rendition has also appeared on various dance and compilation CDs, such as the Telephone Line Compilation, from that era.

Ayers began his career as a post-bop jazz artist, releasing several albums with Atlantic, before his tenure at Polydor beginning in the 1970s, during which he helped pioneer jazz-funk.     Butterfly is a studio album by Kimiko Kasai with Herbie Hancock, originally released only in Japan in 1979. This is the only vocal collection album of Hancock's compositions, including six tracks, with accompaniment by Hancock's regular group. The title track "Butterfly" makes an appearance following the original album Thrust (1974), and this is also a vocal version. In 2018, this album was reissued in the UK from Be With Records.
